Morgan Cheli is a high-upside, versatile UConn guard with two-way instincts
Cheli’s freshman season at UConn in 2024-25 was modest on the box score—2.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.3 minutes across 24 games—but her value is in the connective tissue: she can handle, pass, rebound and defend with a steady, team-first feel.[1][2] She has already flashed in bigger moments, including a career-high eight points against Holy Cross and a breakout all-around game versus Georgetown with five points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.[8][13] The biggest question for any team is health, because her 2024-25 season ended with an ankle injury and she did not appear in early 2025-26 action.[7][17][18]
