Hugh Kelly brings veteran versatility and academic ballast to Holy Cross’s secondary
Hugh Kelly is a fifth-year safety for Holy Cross who has been a steady, team-first presence in the program, appearing in all 11 games in the 2023 season and logging five tackles while contributing primarily on special teams[2]. At 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, he offers size and experience at the back end, and his Academic All-District recognition points to the kind of reliability and football IQ coaches tend to love[2]. He’s not a flashy stat-sheet merchant, but he looks like a glue guy: durable, disciplined, and a fit for a team needing physical depth and a high-floor defensive piece[2][6].
