Nick Zakelj brings NFL-sized upside and multi-position flexibility
Zakelj is a former Fordham tackle who earned a sixth-round NFL selection and has carved out value as a big, flexible lineman with true guard/tackle versatility. His appeal is size, functional power, and a developmental profile that scouts viewed as draftable depth, though his pro grading has been modest rather than standout. He’s the kind of player teams like for roster balance: not flashy, but durable-feeling, scheme-adaptable, and experienced enough to compete for backup or swing-line roles if coached up correctly.
