Dell Gaines brings a disruptive, blue-collar edge to Jacksonville State’s linebacker room
Dell Gaines profiles as a physical, high-motor linebacker who can create disruption rather than just clean up plays. The most concrete stat trail available shows impact production from his 2023 Ottawa season, where he recorded 6 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss, while older Jacksonville State stats list Dell Gaines with 54 tackles and 11.0 tackles for loss in an earlier JSU season, suggesting a history of attacking behind the line of scrimmage. The fit question is simple: if your team wants a relentless, gap-penetrating defender with a grinder’s mentality, he’s worth a close look.
