Jake Marchesano brings strikeout upside and bullpen grit to Delaware
In the 2026 season, Delaware RHP Jake Marchesano flashed real relief value: he appeared in 12 games as a freshman, tied his career high with 4 strikeouts in 2.2 innings against WKU, and logged a clean 1.2-inning scoreless outing at Middle Tennessee. The separator is his strike-throwing pedigree and proven bat-missing history dating back to Archbishop Ryan, where he set the school strikeout record with a 1.80 ERA and 96 Ks. He looks like a competitive, bullpen-ready arm with upside if his command keeps sharpening.
