John Blackgrove brings efficient backcourt scoring and veteran guard polish to FDU
In the 2026 season, John Blackgrove is listed as a guard for Fairleigh Dickinson and is averaging 7.9 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.7 assists while shooting 36.8% from the field[2]. He profiles as a steady, experienced backcourt piece rather than a volume creator, and FDU’s roster history shows he has remained a familiar part of the Knights’ guard rotation[1][3]. If you want a plug-in guard who can provide scoring without needing the ball to dominate possession, he’s a sensible fit; if you need a high-usage lead guard, the numbers suggest that is not his lane[2].
