Efficient, Physical Elon RB with Big-Play Upside
In the 2023 season, Wayne Dixie III showed he can be a useful part of Elon’s backfield rotation, helping spark the Phoenix’s run game with physical downhill running and enough burst to punish missed tackles. Elon’s official roster notes he played in all 12 games in 2022 and finished with 41 carries for 132 yards, while ESPN lists his career production at 88 carries for 368 yards and 2 touchdowns, suggesting steady role growth. He’s not a volume bell-cow, but he looks like a tough, reliable complementary back who fits a team that values effort, contact balance, and run-game versatility.
