veteran, defense-first Long Beach State guard who brought grit over gaudy numbers
Anson Moye’s Long Beach State profile shows a steady, senior guard who earned minutes as a defensive stopper and bench depth, with the 2017 team note specifically calling out his increased role on that end. His stat line was modest in college—ESPN lists career averages of 0.5 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.2 assists with 31.6% field-goal shooting—but the value was in toughness, reliability, and doing the little things coaches trust. In short: low-usage, high-discipline glue guy, best for teams needing poise and perimeter defense rather than scoring punch.
