Jerdy Lopez Emerging as a High-End Two-Way Shortstop for Little Rock
Lopez is a clear postseason-impact shortstop for Little Rock, earning a 2026 Brooks Wallace Award watch-list nod and helping fuel a run that included an eighth straight win and a Regional title game victory over No. 21 Jacksonville State. His profile suggests a compact, athletic middle infielder with real defensive value, plus enough bat-to-ball and extra-base pop to matter in big moments. The combination of shortstop defense, switch-hitting versatility, and proven pressure performance makes him attractive for teams that want a gritty, high-IQ infielder who can contribute immediately.
