Hampton Pirates' Rim-Protecting Beast Turned Pro Powerhouse
Danny Agbelese, the 6'8" Hampton Pirates forward who led the MEAC and ranked 8th nationally in blocks during the 2010-11 season (averaging 4.0 pts, 6.0 reb), was a relentless shot-blocker with career-highs of 7 swats per game; post-college, he's thrived professionally in Greece as 2x blocks leader (2019, 2021), Greek Super Cup MVP (2020), and now dominates for Palmer Basket in Spain's Primera FEB (2024/25 highlights show his elite athleticism). His high-motor intensity and paint dominance make him a game-changer—perfect fit for teams needing defensive anchors with proven leadership.
