steady NCCU linebacker with proven game experience
In the 2025 season, Zach Simmons played 12 games for North Carolina Central and finished with 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble, showing the kind of disruptive front-seven impact that matters on Saturdays[8]. NCCU’s roster notes also show a long-tenured career at the school, with game action dating back to 2019, which points to experience, durability, and a strong grasp of the defense[2]. He looks like a fit for teams valuing a seasoned, assignment-sound linebacker who can still flash as a blitzer and bring veteran stability.
