experienced Iowa State edge who brings production and steadiness
Waggoner has been a reliable defensive-end presence for Iowa State, most notably starting all 13 games in 2017 and ranking among the Cyclones’ down linemen leaders with 42 tackles, including 25 solo stops. That profile points to a player who can hold up against the run, stay durable, and do the unglamorous work coaches value on the edge. At 6-foot-2 and 235 pounds in his recruiting profile, he projects more as a disciplined, physical fit than a pure flash athlete, making him appealing for a team that wants dependability and effort on defense.
