proven edge-rushing disruptor with a veteran motor
In the 2013 season, Markeith Gaines was a rugged Central Arkansas defensive end who paired production with presence: he finished with 53 career tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks, and in 2013 he ranked among the Southland’s better edge players with 11 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. He was also described as one of the strongest players on the team, with high effort and confidence, which suggests a tone-setting, high-motor fit rather than just a box-score rusher. If you want a dependable edge defender who can collapse pockets and bring veteran toughness, he’s a good fit.
