Joey Hunter brings veteran versatility and reliability to UAB's backfield
Joey Hunter is a multi-year college defender whose recent production points to a steady, assignment-sound player: at Akron, he appeared in 11 games and started six in 2024, totaling 10 tackles and 2 pass breakups, after logging 18 games and 18 tackles across two seasons previously.[2][1] His value is in experience, positional flexibility, and dependable coverage reps rather than flashy counting stats, which makes him a fit for teams needing a mature, low-mistake contributor with a solid floor.[2][1][4]
