Nevada Wolf Pack LB Daryl Towns: Unsung Tackling Machine with NFL-Upside Versatility
Daryl Towns, Nevada's rock-solid left back, has been a defensive cornerstone for the Wolf Pack, logging over 250 tackles and 15 forced fumbles across the 2024-25 seasons while holding opponents to a league-low 65% completion rate on his side of the field (MWC stats). His differentiator? Relentless motor and positional IQ that lets him drop into coverage or blitz like a hybrid edge—think a poor man's Micah Parsons at the college level. No major injury history, high football IQ, and a quiet intensity that translates to leadership; perfect fit for teams needing versatile, high-effort LBs in 3-4 schemes. Watch him climb draft boards.
