Cooper Allen is UNC Wilmington’s ace-like workload arm with strikeout bite and command
In the 2026 season, Cooper Allen emerged as one of the Coastal Athletic Association’s most reliable right-handers, going 8-4 with a 2.79 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 96 strikeouts in 87 innings while holding opponents to a .210 average. His calling card is efficiency: he generated length, logged multiple complete-game caliber outings, and repeatedly missed bats without living on the edge. That mix of strike-throwing, poise, and swing-and-miss stuff made him a CAA Pitcher of the Week three times and a national Pitcher of the Year semifinalist, with MLB interest backing up the buzz.
