veteran Kansas DL with proven production and blue-collar edge
Ty McKinney’s Kansas profile is that of an experienced, physical defensive lineman who has already shown he can hold up in real game action; in the 2013 season, he played in all 12 games and posted 24 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a pass breakup. Observers have described him as a talented impact-type lineman, and his value is the kind that doesn’t always scream from a stat sheet: toughness, consistency, and a ready-made defensive-line mentality. If a team wants a steady interior presence with some proven bite, McKinney fits the bill.
