Justin Brookens brings versatile scoring punch to Western Illinois backcourt
In the 2024 season, Justin Brookens averaged 6.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 38.6% from the field, giving Western Illinois a steady guard option who can handle the ball and chip in across the board. He’s not a volume star, but he fits the “glue guard” mold: experienced, multi-purpose and capable of contributing without needing the offense built around him. For a team looking for a dependable rotational guard who can play within structure and provide backcourt depth, Brookens is a sensible fit.
