Gabrielle 'GiGi' Caponegro: Gardner-Webb's Rebounding Force from 2018-19
Gabrielle Caponegro stood out as Gardner-Webb's top rebounder in the 2018-19 season, averaging 7.0 boards per game across 31 appearances (29 starts) while chipping in 6.2 points in 31 minutes nightly; her explosive 16-point, 15-rebound double-double vs. Davidson earned Big South Player of the Week honors, showcasing tenacious intensity on the glass and clutch leadership that powered key wins. A redshirt sophomore with proven double-double upside (including 11/11 at Radford), she's a gritty forward differentiator for teams needing blue-collar rebounding and heart—perfect fit if you value hustle over flash.
