Lafayette’s rookie back who flashed real volume in 2010
In the 2010 season, Pat Mputu started five of nine games as a freshman and finished second on Lafayette in rushing with 373 yards, showing he could earn trust quickly and handle meaningful carries right away.[3] At 5'10" and 185 pounds, he profiles as a compact, downhill runner with early-career production that suggests toughness and a willingness to take on contact.[7][9] For a team, the appeal is a young back who already proved he can contribute in game action; the question is whether his freshman-year burst can be developed into more consistent big-play impact.[3]
