Shawn Smith brings steady frontcourt production and veteran grit to Marshall
In his 2013-14 season at Marshall, Shawn Smith averaged 7.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 33 games, giving the Thundering Herd a reliable forward who could score inside, crash the glass, and chip in on defense with 0.4 blocks and 0.5 steals per game.[3][1] His differentiators are toughness and versatility: he posted two double-doubles, scored in double figures 12 times, and produced a career-best 18 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks against Alice Lloyd, while also showing he could handle bigger matchups like his 16-point effort at No. 7 Louisville.[3]
