strike-throwing right-hander with swing-and-miss upside
Brandon Candelora profiles as a developing right-handed pitcher whose appeal is built on bat-missing ability and steady run prevention. In his 2025 high school season at Platt (CT), he posted a 1.74 ERA with 91 strikeouts in 52.1 innings, and recruiting footage from 2024 shows him working in the 83-84 mph range and touching 86 while generating multiple strikeouts in an inning. That combination of present competitiveness, growing velocity, and proven command gives him a solid foundation for a program looking for an arm with upside.
