Kabongo’s Size-and-Quickness Profile Still Jumps Off the Page
Masengo Kabongo is a physically imposing, quick-twitch defensive lineman whose recruiting profile praised his combination of size, athleticism, and football IQ, with Maryland calling him an intelligent lineman with promising size and quickness and Rivals/Scouts ranking him among the nation’s better D-linemen in his class. His early college track record included game action at Maryland in the 2009 season and a sack against California, while Stony Brook’s 2011 notes highlighted him as a notable transfer with proven pass-rush upside. He looks like a fit for teams needing a disruptive interior presence who can bend, move, and win with effort more than flash.
