former Hartford guard with Australian roots and a grind-first résumé
Ben O’Neill is listed in Hartford men’s basketball archives as a guard from Sydney, Australia, but the available public results point to an older career, not current college production in the 2026 season. The clearest differentiator is background: he brought international experience and a long-view basketball IQ from Cranbrook School and Hartford, which usually translates to composure, spacing, and team-first habits rather than flashy box-score volume. If the question is fit, he reads more like a developmental, culture-setting guard than a proven current stat-stuffer.
