Laura Piera brings veteran guard play, defense, and steady creation to Grand Canyon
Laura Piera is a proven point guard with a track record of doing a bit of everything: in her 2020-21 season at Grand Canyon she averaged 9.5 points, 2.9 assists, and 2.7 steals per game, and her earlier GCU seasons showed she can both create offense and pressure the ball defensively.[4][3] She also earned All-WAC honorable mention and was described by her club as a key, decisive piece in a championship run, which points to winning-impact traits beyond box-score numbers.[5][14] If you want a guard who competes hard, defends, and stabilizes an offense, she fits the bill.[3][14]
