Jack Zebig is the Illini’s steady left-handed bat with extra-base pop and run production
In the 2026 season, Jack Zebig has been one of Illinois’ more reliable senior bats, hitting .236 with 7 home runs, 37 RBI, 38 hits and a .422 on-base percentage across 49 games, and he’s flashed multi-hit, multi-RBI upside in key wins. He stands out for disciplined at-bats, run-producing power and timely contact, not just loud tools. The fit is clear: a versatile INF/OF left-handed hitter who brings experience, maturity and a no-drama offensive profile that plays well in the middle or bottom of a lineup.
