a depth linebacker who earned snaps on special teams
Jake Ames was a Buffalo linebacker who appeared in 10 games in 2016, mostly on special teams, before redshirting in 2017; that profile suggests a player valued more for reliability, toughness, and role acceptance than headline stats.[1] He is the kind of athlete worth caring about if you need a steady, assignment-sound defender who can help the roster on kickoff and coverage units, but the available record does not show major on-field production or star-level rankings from Buffalo’s official roster history.[1]
