Norfolk State guard with a tiny sample and a long runway
In the 2019-20 season, Caleb Dawkins played just one game for Norfolk State, but he flashed efficient, aggressive guard play in six minutes: 6 points on 2-of-4 shooting, 1-of-2 from three, plus 2 steals. The differentiator here is the two-way burst—he scored without forcing it and showed active hands defensively, which hints at a pesky, high-motor backcourt style. The catch: the résumé is thin, so this is more about upside and fit than proven production. If a team wants a scrappy, defensive-leaning guard with some shot-making touch, Dawkins is at least intriguing.
