Marcus Saugen brings length, explosiveness, and multi-sport athleticism to Eastern Washington's defensive front
Saugen is a **6-foot-3, 240-pound** defensive lineman from Spokane who stood out as a high-end multi-sport athlete in high school, posting a **6-0 high jump**, **41-7.5 triple jump**, and **21-0.5 long jump** marks that hint at unusual lower-body explosiveness for his position.[2][6] He also has game action in Eastern Washington's program and was part of a defense that forced a fumble on Texas Tech's first offensive play against the Eagles, showing he can contribute in a disruptive front.[1] For a fit, he looks like a player whose value comes from athletic upside, effort, and versatility rather than pure size alone.[1][2][4]
