The Effort-First Forward Who Elevates Troy’s Defense
Latoya Gay is a depth forward for the Troy Trojans whose value shines in relentless effort, role execution, and defensive intensity rather than high scoring. While her stats don’t reflect big numbers, she’s known for her hustle, rebounding in key moments, and unwavering commitment to team play. Gay has no significant injury history and brings a high-intensity personality that coaches trust in tight games. Her differentiator is her ability to do the ‘dirty work’—setting screens, fighting for position, and closing out on shooters—making her a perfect fit for teams that prioritize defense and cohesion over flash. If you care about players who elevate the team’s floor through grit and consistency, Gay is your athlete.
