Physical, productive LSU middle linebacker with All-SEC pedigree
Beckwith was a three-year starter at middle linebacker for LSU, earning second-team All-SEC honors in 2007 and 2008 while piling up 189 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in 47 games. His calling cards were downhill physicality, playmaking range and consistency in the middle of a championship-caliber defense, though he also dealt with a knee injury late in his college career. For a team, he fit as a tone-setting, dependable interior linebacker who brought proven production and a tough, high-intensity presence.[1][7][10]
