a high-IQ, disruptive guard with a scrappy edge
In his Coastal Carolina freshman season in 2012-13, Justin Daniel appeared in 23 games and gave the Chanticleers a low-usage, high-energy guard who could defend, rebound a bit, and create chaos with his hands; he averaged 1.3 points and 6.6 minutes per game, with a career-high four steals in one game and seven games with at least one rebound. The draw here is the motor: he wasn’t a volume scorer, but he brought toughness, hustle, and useful perimeter disruption — the kind of glue-guy profile coaches love when they want effort, defense, and no-ego minutes.
