Taylor Ross brings local toughness, rim protection, and quiet impact to UTSA
Ross is a 6-1 forward from San Antonio who carved out rotation minutes as a freshman by doing the gritty stuff: in the 2024-25 season, she played in 23 games, scored 50 points, grabbed 49 rebounds, and blocked 12 shots. Her calling card is defense and effort — she averaged 2.5 blocks per game over a two-game AAC stretch and had a three-block game against East Carolina, the kind of stock-rising activity coaches love. She also has a strong work ethic and a coach’s mindset, but a 2025-26 season-ending injury keeps her from helping UTSA this year.
