Utah’s Jason Kaufusi: seasoned edge defender with big-play pedigree and injury-tested toughness
In the 2002 season, Jason Kaufusi led Utah with 10.5 tackles for loss and 6 sacks, showing the kind of disruptive, backfield-hunting edge pressure that makes a defense tick. He also finished his Utah career as a Mountain West Freshman of the Year, a first-team all-conference defender, and a player whose career was impacted by a shoulder injury, which adds real context to his toughness and value.
