Northeastern’s bulldog righty who can miss bats and eat innings
In the 2026 season, Luc Rising gave Northeastern a legit Saturday-starter profile: 5-5 with a 3.54 ERA, 84 strikeouts in 81.1 innings, and multiple big-game outings, including an 11-K gem against UNCW and seven shutout innings in a win over Stony Brook. He’s a sturdy 6-foot-2, 208-pound right-hander with a power sinker/ground-ball feel and the kind of competitive edge coaches love—he even drew praise after keeping Northeastern in games against LSU and Elon. Drafted by the Angels in the 10th round in 2026, he looks like a polished strike-thrower with real rotation value.
