Micah Valenzuela brings downhill instincts and proven tackle production to San Diego
Micah Valenzuela enters the 2026 conversation as a 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker with a solid tackling profile and a rugged, fill-the-gap style that should translate well for a defense needing tone-setters. In the 2025 season at Riverside City College, he ranked third in the 3C2A with 111 tackles, added 5.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks, and showed week-to-week reliability with seven double-digit tackle games. The fit is obvious: he looks like a high-motor, physical linebacker who can chase, strike, and survive the grind—exactly the kind of player coaches trust early.
