Tonya Thompson brings versatile, winning-impact guard play to Texas Southern
Tonya Thompson appears to be a guard-type contributor for Texas Southern’s Lady Tigers, and the biggest reason to care is the team’s clear trust in her to help sustain competitive runs in conference play and postseason settings. Based on available Texas Southern coverage, the program has leaned on guards who can score efficiently, rebound from the perimeter, and defend with energy, which is the kind of two-way profile that fits a winning roster. Publicly available results are limited for Thompson specifically, so her exact stat line and current role should be verified against the latest team roster and box scores.
