High-Velocity RHP with Elite Strikeout Intensity for Charleston Southern
Rupert Blackwood, a 6'3"/195lb RHP for the Charleston Southern Buccaneers, stands out not just for his 90–91 mph fastball velocity but for his relentless strikeout intensity, having recorded 17 Ks in just 8 innings across two recent outings. While his collegiate ERA (11.74) reflects early adjustment challenges, his high school pedigree—ranked top 2 in 7A District 10 for batters struck out—reveals a natural differentiator: an aggressive, comp-facing mindset that overwhelms top-tier opponents. He shows no injury history, and his personality is defined by fierce competitiveness and consistency, making him a high-upside fit for teams seeking a power arm with elite strikeout potential and room to refine command.
