Utah's Raw 6'10" Mali-Born Big Man with Untapped Potential
In the 2025-26 season, 6'10" freshman center Ibrahima Traore appeared in 9 games for Utah, averaging 1.3 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0 assists in 6.3 minutes while shooting an efficient 66.7-77.8% from the field per ESPN and Scoutbasketball stats. A three-star recruit from West Oaks Academy who dominated high school with 18.0 PPG senior year, Traore's massive frame, athleticism, and international pedigree from Mali (with pro stints in France) mark him as a developmental gem for teams needing rim protection and rebounding upside—perfect mid-major fit like North Carolina A&T if seeking a high-ceiling project big.
