Cheikh Mbacke Diong gives UCF a reliable interior presence with efficient scoring and rebounding
Diong’s value is built on size, efficiency, and steady production: ESPN lists him at 6.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 58.0% shooting, while UCF previously noted he started every game in 2021-22 and averaged 8.9 points and 7.4 rebounds, ranking sixth in the Mountain West in rebounding. His calling card is clean, low-drama frontcourt work—finishing around the rim, crashing the glass, and bringing consistent effort rather than flashy shot creation. He looks like a solid fit for a team that needs a dependable rebounder and interior finisher.
