ETSU's Defensive Dynamo and SoCon Legend (2000-2004)
Zakee Wadood, a 6'7" forward for East Tennessee State Buccaneers from 2000-04, dominated with 1,382 points, 822 rebounds (4th in program history), 246 steals, and 182 blocks, earning SoCon MVP, three-time All-Conference honors, and a share of the NCAA Tournament single-game steals record (7 vs. Wake Forest in 2003). His relentless intensity and two-way versatility turned ETSU into a mid-major powerhouse—perfect for teams needing a gritty, rebounding defender who elevates tournament play, though long graduated and now playing overseas.
