Scott Hyland brings proven linebacker production and leadership to Liberty
Hyland is a **productive, experienced linebacker** whose calling card is reliable tackling and steady defensive leadership; Liberty’s own history on him notes he finished his career with **175 tackles** and earned **Big South second-team all-conference** honors, a profile that signals consistency more than flash[4]. For a team, that means a defender who can fit into a physical system, communicate well, and raise the floor of the unit—especially valuable if you want a trustworthy, assignment-sound presence rather than a pure highlight-machine[4].
