Joe Sanders brings veteran edge-setting savvy to NIU’s defense
Joe Sanders is a veteran Northern Illinois defensive end whose value shows up in the little dirty-work details: setting the edge, holding his ground against the run, and bringing a sturdy, assignment-sound presence off the line. In the 2017 season, he posted 13 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss, and his older-college, transfer-track background suggests maturity and physical seasoning more than flash. If your team wants a reliable, experienced DE who can do the unglamorous stuff and keep the defense on schedule, Sanders fits that mold.
