Maryland's Towering OL Anchor with 2026 Stats Lighting Up the Board
Richard Merritt, the 6-5, 345-pound Maryland Terrapins offensive lineman from the class of 2016, has evolved into a dominant force, boasting full 2026 NCAAF per-game stats on ESPN that highlight his pancake-blocking prowess and run-game dominance—ranked as the No. 14 OG nationally by 247Sports coming out of high school. His rare size-speed combo (5.64 40-yard dash) and early special teams grit make him a plug-and-play starter; scouts rave about his mean streak and footwork, positioning him as an ideal NFL pipeline fit for teams needing trench warriors—no major injury flags, just pure Terrapin tenacity.
