Josh Jackson was Iowa’s ball-hawking shutdown threat in 2017
Josh Jackson’s defining season for Iowa came in 2017, when the DB posted 48 tackles, 8 interceptions, 18 passes defended, 2 pick-sixes, and a Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year résumé that screamed “do not throw this way.” He was a unanimous All-American and a first-round-caliber playmaker with elite anticipation, hands, and return ability; the one caution flag from scouting reports was that his long speed wasn’t special. If your team wants a high-IQ, turnover-creating corner with swagger and a nose for game-changing moments, he fit the bill beautifully.
