7-Foot Captain Who Blocks Shots and Keeps Showing Up for Air Force
Wesley Celichowski is the kind of center coaches love: in the 2025-26 season, the 7-foot junior played in all 32 games, started 29, averaged 4.8 points and 2.4 rebounds, and led Air Force with 18 blocks. He’s not a pure volume scorer, but his size, rim protection, and willingness to stretch the floor enough to hit threes in nine games make him a useful modern big. The captain label matters too—he brings reliability, toughness, and steady minutes on a team that leaned on him heavily.
