Derek Pegues brings SEC-level speed, versatility, and return-game juice to Mississippi State
Pegues stands out as a fast, physical defensive back with legit playmaking value beyond coverage, including special-teams explosiveness and the ability to affect games as a return threat; recruiting evaluations list him at 5-10, 195 pounds with a 4.40-second forty, and his Mississippi State profile shows he has been trusted in multiple roles. He is the kind of DB who fits if you want toughness, ball skills, and hidden-yardage impact rather than just a pure cover man.
