Jared Esplin is an emerging BYU freshman WR with big-play juice
In the 2026 season, Jared Esplin has already flashed as a touchdown-maker, going 3 catches for 65 yards and 2 scores in BYU’s 63-7 win over Utah Tech, which is a tidy little “notice me” start for a freshman receiver.[2] At 6-foot-1 and about 195 pounds, he brings a compact, developmental frame and appears to be climbing a deep BYU wideout room as a homegrown Provo/Timpview product.[1][3][8] The early read: vertical threat, room to grow, and the kind of local rookie who can become a fan-favorite if the snaps keep coming.[4][5]
