Beau Wooden brings Oklahoma grit and walk-on toughness to Tulsa’s edge room
Beau Wooden is a 6-foot-2, 241-pound redshirt sophomore defensive end from Skiatook, Oklahoma, and his calling card is old-school toughness: he’s a former walk-on, a multi-year high school starter on both sides of the ball, and a state wrestling champion, which usually translates to leverage, balance, and a nasty motor. His listed college production has been limited so far, so the appeal is less about box-score dominance and more about a hard-nosed, high-effort defender who fits a physical, culture-building program piece.
