Senior QB Jaylon Talton gives Gardner-Webb a steady, dual-sport-athlete edge
In the 2026 season, Jaylon Talton is listed by Gardner-Webb as a senior quarterback at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds after transferring from Austin College, which gives him a mature, experienced profile rather than a raw-project tag. He’s not a headline-grabbing size specimen, but that’s not the point: Talton’s value is in veteran command, versatility, and whatever game-speed comfort he brings to the QB room. If a team wants polish, poise, and a player with proven college mileage, he’s worth a long look.
